Lessons for every level

I’ve spent my career not only performing at the highest levels, but also helping musicians find their artistic voice, build confidence, and shape lives in music that are sustainable, joyful, and true to who they are.

At its best, teaching cello is about nurturing both precision and imagination. I think of my role as a teacher first and foremost as empowering students to be able to find the joy in learning.

I work closely with each student to build a technical foundation strong enough to support expressive freedom. I place great emphasis on methodical preparation and have developed replicable frameworks as a way of demystifying the artistic process and strengthening psychological resilience, helping musicians show up as their best selves under pressure. I’ve seen how transformative it is when a student begins to understand the compound effect of small good habits performed over time.
